[LinuxPPS] a fluke...?

I'll be investigating plotting estimated error (if that's what you are
plotting)...pointers would be welcome. :)

So far, it (est. error) is alternating between 0 and 1 microsecond with linuxpps + ntp 4.2.4...

This is a RH7.3 system w/self-hosted gcc-4.1.1, newtime.sr.sonic.net. 
Pentium III, 750MHz, 256M (An old Dell 1U) with a Garmin GPS18 ("bare wire")
with the PPS line wired to DCD on the serial interface.
