I "feel" it will be the right way to do. 
Go on!
Is there some work left over to do for non-programmers? ;-)

PS: When I discussed with other (NTP-) people former, I fond no real luck 
about changing a whole codebase because of the (little) different 
RFC2783-interpretation.
