Udo I grabbed the current patch from that bug report just after I received this 
email last night. It has been running for the last 10 or so hours. Seems to be 
working fine.

Only problem I had was the number of typos I made trying to setup the 
/dev/gpspps0 symlink. Symlinks, late at night and half asleep don't mix.

I have nmea and atom at minpoll 4 maxpoll 4. The nmea driver is my prefer peer. 
It synced quickly then the atom driver took over. Worked as it should.
