Id swear I answered this one, but I dont see my message on the list.

BUT YES, Im running with 2.6.27-rc1 FINE.

I guess I should try 2.6.27-rc3 (rather than -rc4) to see if something has
happened 'under' Rodolfo's change deck, but wont be able to get to that
experiment till this evening.
