[LinuxPPS] Why patch refclocks?

A bit off-topic, but why are we patching ntpd refclock drivers when the
atom-pps driver already exists? If I have multiple gps sources attached to my
host, wouldn't I want the most accurate pps source to service all of them? I
confess that I used to run ntpd this way, and it was prone to "clock hopping"
between the gps and pps sources. My clock was never as stable as it seems to
be now with the gps and pps sources integrated in one driver. Many thanks are
in order for Rodolfo for devoting his time and effort to this worthy project.
