Tested a bit:

On a port that's in use by ntpd I get:

# stty < /dev/ttyS0
speed 4800 baud; line = 18;
intr = <undef>; quit = <undef>; erase = <undef>; kill = <undef>; eof =
<undef>;
start = <undef>; stop = <undef>; susp = <undef>; rprnt = <undef>;
werase = <undef>; lnext = <undef>; flush = <undef>;
ignbrk -brkint -imaxbel
-opost -onlcr
-isig -iexten -echo -echoe -echok -echoctl -echoke

On a port with just `ldattach PPS /dev/ttyS3` I get:

# stty < /dev/ttyS3
speed 9600 baud; line = 18;
min = 1; time = 0;
-brkint -icrnl -imaxbel
-opost
-isig -icanon -iexten -echo

I that about right? (yes the discpline is set, but the rest?)

Udo
