Unless you need the best precision on the PPS, in which case you code
PPS API support into the virtual supervisor and create a device to
attach to LinuxPPS, any of the serial routines should still work fine
- you may just have more jitter and higher latency depending on how
the serial port and its interrupts are shared with the guest.
