[LinuxPPS] ntp and dns

This is not really a pps issue, but I brought it up here so I will close
it here. I had a rather odd problem which was diagnosed by davehart as
being a dns issue.
The problem is that ntp only looks at the first entry in your
resolv.conf file. The first entry had a problem so ntp was unable to
find a disambiguating server. The second entry was OK so everything else
seemed OK, as all the other programs I tried are well behaved go through
the list.
