Nope.
Reachability should go to 377, etc.


After connecting the gps and booting the right kernel etc please verify
that the kernel sees pps, by e.g.
# cat /sys/devices/virtual/pps/pps0/assert
# cat /sys/devices/virtual/pps/pps0/assert
etc

You should see increasing numbers like:

# cat /sys/devices/virtual/pps/pps0/assert
1269103484.000034273#33742
# cat /sys/devices/virtual/pps/pps0/assert
1269103566.000038014#33824

After that you could start ntpd, but please provide at least one means
for ntpd to know what time belongs to a PPS pulse.
E.g. configure an external server as a time source.
