Just joined up! The website doesn't seem to have all the information
I'm looking for.

Is LinuxPPS being merged into the Linux kernel? A little googling
around tells me it is part of the 2.6.24 kernel now.

Is there a hardware hack and schematic for bringing in the PPS pulse
from a serial GPS device to the DCD pin? Would be nice to start seeing
GPS on Mini-PCI or Mini-PCIe form factor.

Btw, I work for a major automotive company doing some Telematics R &
D. The LinuxPPS is integral to the Dedicated Short Range
Communications (DSRC) radio synchronization used by US-DOT's VII project.

A crucial issue is that we also need to start seeing GPS devices that
give us better than 1m resolution with corrections.

Thanks!
