Your kernel version is quite strange... generally Linux version number
has 3 numbers. I suppose it's a SUSE special patch.

However, you can trying applying the patch against linux 2.6.21 (see
the wiki) but I doubt it could applaying clearly on 2.6.16...

Unluckely we are into transition stage for LinuxPPS from and old API
to a new one so, to get lastest code, you have to check the wiki and
look at last week messages in this ML.

Currently I have very poor time to dedicate to LinuxPPS! :'( And I
spend all my "idle" time trying kernel inclusion.
